Kitchen Chairs
I found these kitchen chairs on Craig's List and picked them up cheap ($25 for the set of 4). I've been looking for a new set of chairs for close to a year but couldn't really find anything I liked within my budget. I loved the backs on these!
I gave them a light sanding to remove the flaky areas and then primed them with Bulls Eye 1-2-3. Then, they got 2 good coats of buttermilk colored paint in a satin finish.
They already look cute! But, they needed something more... So I painted on some checker board pattern and fruit to tie them together with the rest of my kitchen and highlight the shapes on the back of the chair.
Finally, they got a light coat of glossy acrylic spray to protect the handpainted areas. Here's a close-up of the back of the strawberry chair:
Now I'm on the prowl for some cushy denim chair pads for the seats. Thanks for looking!
